The hotel is located in Zona Colonial. All interesting spots/buildings are within walking distance. There are plenty of restaurants/shops/bars/etc.. We would consider this the best area to stay. It's very vibrant. And although in this location, within the hotel there's not much 'noise'. Also the malecon is nearby and other places can be reached on foot as well. Else there are plenty of taxi's that can be found within 100m from the hotel. The direct area is safe with a 24/7 bar on the nearest street corner and Nacional and Tourist police all around. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was decent and clean. So were the bed sheets and towels. We arrived around 10 am and could enter our room around noon. So that was well ahead of the usual check-in time, so that was appreciated from our side. The bathroom is a bit small, but you can do there what you have to do there. There was an AC in the room and it had two fans on the ceiling. While you usually find the minimum amount of power sockets in a hotel room, this one had 10 sockets, so that's worth mentioning. As a guest of RIG Casa Conde, you are allowed to use the small pool of RIG Puerto Malecon, which is a 5 minute walk away. Although the breakfast is on the poor side, we would stay again in this hotel.

A few very important moments to mention: there is a fridge in the room (which is very practical for me personally because i dont want to eat constantly in the restaurants) and the bed mattress is neither too hard nor too soft - good sleep. It was calm, didnt have any issues. The room size was perfectly fine for a solo traveller. Personnel is very welcoming, gave me tips on some spots worth visiting. There is a TV, conditioner and ceiling ventilator- all worked. My room had windows and one could open them:) Very good placement in zona colonial close to everything. There are colmados, shops around the corner, and a person selling café on the street (around the corner to the right of the hôtel). Breakfast was included but i didnt have time to see it.

This was a fantastic little hotel that fit our budget well. The overall facilities were great, the King room I had was great and had a fantastic balcony view of the street below, the location of the hotel was perfectly centered in the middle of the Colonial Zone, it was nicely distanced from almost anywhere in Santo Domingo, and the hotel staff we encountered were also fantastic. Special thanks to Onilda for her exceptional work in tending to my room needs throughout my stay everyday. Also special thanks to Antoine at the hotel front desk, he welcomed us the first night we arrived there and was very attentive to any needs or questions we had throughout our day.

The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Santo Domingo in the Zona area. I had a wonderful experience at the RIG Casa Conde. Every staff member I encountered, from Deivy and Scarlett to the cleaning staff was delightful and eager to help! Thank you! Deivy, Scarlet, Algenis, the young lady who cleans my room with a beautiful smile, the young man on the third shift, the cooks. I will recommend it to my colleagues!

During check-in the lovely young lady was very kind and helpful. I was early, but they let me check in anyway. The first room they showed me didn't have a desk and I needed to work so they were kind enough to put me in a different room. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, the air conditioning worked, and there was hot water -- all of these things are important to most travelers and I always appreciate those features. The location is great because it is close to many things and very safe.
